Seniors who have already obtained a parking permit should park in their assigned spot on Tuesday morning. Seniors who have not yet obtained a permit, but plan to drive to school will be directed by Brother James to an area not yet reserved. Those Seniors should purchase a permit on Tuesday or if no more are available, place their name on the waiting list. Only seniors are permitted to drive to school and park on campus.

Overview of the Competition
Purpose: The Colt Cup is awarded annually by the administration and student council to the homeroom achieving the greatest number of points in the year long competition. The purpose of the cup is to encourage school spirit, individual and collective achievement across academic, athletic, service, and extracurricular fields, a spirit of aggressive but fraternal competition across the school, and a pride in being the best.
The winning homeroom will receive:
1) The opportunity to mount the prestigious Colt Cup in their homeroom for the rest of
the Academic Year and in that teacher’s room for the year to come.
2) Recognition at the St. La Salle Mass where the cup will be awarded.
3) A photograph will be taken and hung in the school for the year to come.
4) An engraved plaque on the cup to be kept in perpetuity noting the year, their room
number, and homeroom moderator.
5) A pizza party on the afternoon of their choice.
6) Commemorative Tee shirts.
7) A dinner for the homeroom moderator, his/her guest, the Principal, and Associate
Principal for Student Affairs.

Points in the cup will be awarded to homerooms based on the performance of the group or its individual members on the following basis and according to the following scale:
Performance in any designated school charity drive:
First Place Finish—100 points
Second Place Finish—60 points
Third Place finish—20 points
Performance in any designated Colt Intramural Championship:
Membership on a First Place Team—20 points (to a maximum of 100 points per homeroom per team)
Membership on a Second Place Team—10 points (to a maximum of 50 points per homeroom per team)
Performance in the Freshman Run:
First Place Finish—30 points
Second Place Finish—25 points
Third Place Finish—20 points
Fourth Place Finish—15 points
Fifth Place Finish—10 points
Designation as an All Conference Athlete: 25 points
Ranking among the Top Ten Weighted Report Card Averages, Quarter 1, Semester 1, and
Quarter 3 ( awarded each quarterly interval): Value 20 points
Receiving the “Epitome of the Academy” designation at the end of each quarter (juniors are eligible one quarter, seniors the next, and sophomores the following): Value 25 points
Receiving “Service Star” designation from Mr. Sewnig. (He may award a total of ten “service star” designations throughout the year): Value 30 points
Each faculty and staff member will have four “Kudos Kards” he/she may award at any point in the year to any student. Value: 10 points
Activities Leadership: Executive officers of Student Council, Lasallian Youth, SADD and NHS, Editors of school publications, will each receive 20 points.
Brother James, Mr. Fales and Mr. Santanello will award up to five “Kudos Kards”. Value 15 points
Mixers: The second and third mixers will carry an incentive. Students will receive a “certificate of attendance” which, when turned into the homeroom folder the following morning will receive Colt cup points. Value 2 points per submission.
Varsity Games/Matches: The Student Council will have the opportunity to designate varsity games/matches as “Colt Cup Incentive Games”: When certificates given out at the end of the game are returned in homeroom the next day, they will be valued at 2 points per submission.
Cultural Events: Those attending performances of the school play, spring, or winter concerts will also be eligible to receive a form to submit in homeroom the next day. Value 3 points per submission.
